Education College Changes Name to Kaplan College
Campus to Host Renaming Ceremony
WHAT: Technology Education College is now known as Kaplan College. Located in Columbus, Ohio, the school will host a ceremony on May 20, to celebrate its new name.
The event will begin with remarks from Interim Campus Executive Director Colleen McDermott and Senior Vice President of Campus Initiatives and Support for Kaplan Higher Education, Beth Hollenberg. Also planning to attend and speak is State Sen. Ray Miller.
The name change is part of a broader strategy to better reflect the Kaplan brand. By changing its name to Kaplan College, the school will be formally recognized as being part of the Kaplan family. Kaplan, Inc. is a global provider of education services, and its name reflects a long-standing reputation for excellence.
Kaplan executives, local officials, faculty and students will attend the ceremony, which will include a revealing of the new Kaplan College building sign. This will be followed by a reception with refreshments and student-led tours of the school.
