Hagerstown Business College Announces New Campus in Frederick, MD
School To Offer Programs in Medical and Dental Assisting
HAGERSTOWN, Md., March 29 - Hagerstown Business College, a Kaplan Higher Education school, announced it will open a branch campus in Frederick, MD to serve students in central Maryland and to accommodate rising enrollments. The new campus will offer certificate programs in Medical and Dental Assisting and occupy a 10,000 square foot facility at 5301 Buckeystown Pike, Suite 150, in Frederick. It will include a fully-equipped medical lab, a dental laboratory with x-ray, a computer lab, and three lecture rooms.
Over the last five years, enrollment at HBC's main campus in Hagerstown has grown by 73%. HBC, one of the oldest colleges of its type, celebrated its 65th anniversary in July 2003, making it Hagerstown's oldest college. The main campus offers associate degrees and certificates in health, business, computer technology, graphic design and paralegal studies at its 7.5 acre campus on Crestwood Drive in Hagerstown. Hagerstown Business College is accredited by The Accrediting Council for Independent Colleges and Schools (ACICS).
"This is an important investment that will enable us to bring quality allied health career education programs to Frederick County and Central Maryland," said Christopher Motz, HBC Executive Director. "We look forward to further developing the campus' programs for students."
