    Kaplan University’s Cedar Falls Campus to Host Graduation Ceremony for 102 Students Friday

     

    State Rep. Bob Kressig to Keynote Ceremony

     

    CEDAR FALLS, Iowa, Sept 25, 2009Kaplan University’s Cedar Falls campus will hold a graduation ceremony Friday, September 25, for 102 students.  The ceremony will take place at 7 p.m. at Prairie Lakes Church, 1907 Viking Rd, Cedar Falls. State Rep., Bob Kressig, will keynote the ceremony.

     

    Students will be recognized for earning bachelor’s degrees, associate degrees and diplomas in the business, information technology, criminal justice, allied health or nursing fields.  Upon graduation, students may be eligible for entry-level positions in their field of study.  According to the most recent State of Iowa Occupational Projections, a report by the Iowa Workforce Development, Labor Market and Workforce Information Division, medical assistant positions are expected to increase by 33 percent, practical nurse positions by 12.8 percent, security guard positions by 21.3 percent, paralegal positions by 22.6 percent, and corrections officers and jailers positions by 17.2 percent from 2006 to 2016.

     

    “These graduates have achieved a valuable asset by securing a college education, and I commend them on all of their efforts,” said Gwen Bramlet-Hecker, president of Kaplan University’s Cedar Falls campus.

     

    The Kaplan University Cedar Rapids campus is accredited by The Higher Learning Commission, a Commission of the North Central Association of Colleges and Schools (NCA).
