Texas School of Business’ Friendswood Campus to Host Graduation Ceremony Friday

    Ceremony to Recognize 165 Students

FRIENDSWOOD, Texas, June 26, 2009—The Texas School of Business Friendswood campus will hold a graduation ceremony on Friday, June 26, for 165 students.  The ceremony will take place at 7:00 p.m. at the C. A. Nelson Auditorium at 2337 N. Galveston Ave., Pearland, Texas.

The Friendswood-based campus will recognize students for earning diplomas in one of three programs in the allied health field.  Upon graduation, students may be eligible for entry-level positions in their field of study.  According to Occupational Wages and Projections, a report by the Texas Workforce Commission, Labor Market Information Division, medical assistant positions are expected to increase by 58.3 percent and dental assistant positions by 33.3 percent from 2006 to 2016.

Congratulations to our graduates for turning their dreams into a reality,” said Greg Garrett, executive director of Texas School of Business’ Friendswood campus.  All of our students have bright futures ahead of them, and we are honored to share this celebration with our graduates’ families and friends.”

One allied health student, Holly Mouton, is currently employed as a medical assistant and research coordinator for a local doctor.  Nearing graduation, Mouton reflects on her experience at Texas School of Business’ Friendswood campus.  “It has benefited my self-esteem and knowledge about my career path,” said Mouton.  “Now I can honestly say I have a career, not a job.”

The Texas School of Business’ Friendswood campus is accredited by the Accrediting Council for Independent Colleges and Schools (ACICS).  ACICS is listed as a nationally recognized accrediting agency by the United States Department of Education and is recognized by the Council for Higher Education Accreditation.
