Kaplan College-San Antonio Campus to Host Graduation Ceremony for 327 Students Friday
Honorable Judge Charles Montemayor to Keynote Ceremony
SAN ANTONIO, Texas, January 15, 2010—The Kaplan College San Antonio campus will hold a graduation ceremony for 327 students on Friday, January 15, 2010. The ceremony will begin at 7:00 p.m. at Norris Conference Center located at 4522 Fredericksburg Road in San Antonio, Texas. This ceremony marks the first graduates under the new name, Kaplan College. The campus renamed from Texas Careers in November of 2009. The Honorable Judge Charles Montemayor of the Bexar County Children’s Court will keynote the ceremony.
Students will be recognized for earning a diploma or certificate in one of five programs in the allied health or legal studies fields. Upon graduation, students may be eligible for entry-level positions in their field of study. According to the Texas Statewide Occupational Projection, a report by Texas Labor Market Information, medical assistant positions are expected to increase by 58.3 and vocational nursing positions by 20 percent percent from 2006 to 2016.
“The faculty and staff are proud to have been given the opportunity to help our students achieve this life-changing milestone,” said Lisa Ramirez, executive director of the Kaplan College San Antonio campus. “Our students have worked hard to reach this goal and we honor their accomplishments now and in the future.”
The Kaplan College San Antonio campus is accredited by the Council on Occupational Education (COE). The COE is listed as a nationally recognized accrediting agency by the United States Department of Education.,
