    KAPLAN UNIVERSITY’S DAVENPORT CAMPUS TO HOST GRADUATION CEREMONY FOR 106 STUDENTS FRIDAY

     

    David Hartsuch, Iowa State Senator, to Keynote Ceremony

     

     

    DAVENPORT, Iowa, May 21, 2010—Kaplan University’s Davenport campus will hold a graduation ceremony on Friday, May 21, for 106 students.  The ceremony will take place at 6:30 p.m. at the RiverCenter’s Mississippi Hall, 136 East 3rd Street, Davenport.  Iowa State Senator David Hartsuch will keynote the ceremony.

     

    The Davenport-based school will recognize students for earning bachelor’s and associate degrees in fields including allied health, arts & sciences, business, criminal justice and information technology.  Upon graduating, students may be eligible for entry-level positions in their field of study.  According to the most recent State of Iowa Occupational Projections, a report by the Iowa Workforce Development, Policy and Information Division, medical assistant positions are expected to increase by 33 percent, security guard positions by 21 percent, and accounting positions by 14 percent from 2006 to 2016.

     

    The Kaplan University Davenport campus is accredited by the Higher Learning Commission (HLC) and is a member of the North Central Association of Colleges and Schools (NCA).
