HOSTS GRADUATION CEREMONY
Ceremony to Recognize 184 Students
BELTSVILLE, Md., December 9, 2010— TESST College of Technology’s Beltsville campus will hold a graduation ceremony today for 184 students. The ceremony will take place at 7 p.m. at the University of Maryland at 1133 Stamp Student Union, College Park, Md.
The Beltsville-based school will recognize students for earning an associate degree or certificate in one of four fields including allied health, criminal justice, information technology or trades. Upon graduating, students may be eligible for entry-level positions in their field of study.
“These graduates have secured a valuable asset by attaining a college education, and I commend them on all of their efforts,” Amy Beauregard, executive director of the Beltsville campus said. “The skills they have acquired have prepared them to serve the local employment needs of our community.”
According to the Maryland Occupational Projections, a report by the Maryland Department of Labor, Licensing and Regulation, computer specialist positions will increase by 20 percent and medical assistant positions by 24 percent between 2008 and 2018.
TESST College of Technology in Beltsville is accredited by the Accrediting Commission of Career Schools and Colleges (ACCSC). The ACCSC is listed as a recognized accrediting agency by the U.S. Department of Education.
