KAPLAN CAREER INSTITUTE’S DETROIT CAMPUS HOSTS GRADUATION CEREMONY
Ceremony to Recognize 254 Students
DETROIT, December 10, 2010— Kaplan Career Institute’s Detroit campus will hold a graduation ceremony today for 254 students. The ceremony will take place at 6 p.m. at Cobo Hall Center, One Washington Blvd.
The Detroit based-school will recognize students for earning a diploma in allied health or information technology. Upon graduating, students may be eligible for entry-level positions in their field of study.
“Graduation represents both an achievement and the start of a new chapter in our students’ lives,” Colleen McDermott, executive director of the campus said. “We wish them continued success in their chosen fields.”
According to the most recent Michigan State Occupational Employment Projections, a report by the Michigan Department of Labor and Economic Growth, Bureau of Labor Market Information and Strategic Initiatives, medical assistant positions are expected to increase by 25 percent and pharmacy technician positions by 24 percent from 2008 to 2018.
Kaplan Career Institute’s Detroit campus is accredited by the Accrediting Commission of Career Schools and Colleges (ACCSC). The ACCSC is listed as a recognized accrediting agency by the U.S. Department of Education.
