Kaplan College San Diego Graduation
Ceremony to Recognize 280 Students Today
SAN DIEGO, July 8, 2011— Kaplan College San Diego will host a graduation today for 280 students. The ceremony will take place at 6:30 p.m. at the Town and Country Resort in the Grand Exhibit Hall, 500 Hotel Circle N, San Diego, CA 92108. Dan Cohen, local CBS 8 KFMB news anchor, will keynote the ceremony.
The San Diego-based campus will recognize students for earning an associate degree or diploma in the fields of nursing, allied health or criminal justice. Upon graduating, students may be eligible for entry-level positions in their field of study.
“Every graduation ceremony brings such a feeling of accomplishment for our students, their families, our staff and the community as a whole,” Kevin Prehn, campus president, said. “We are truly grateful for the perseverance and service our students and Kaplan employees have dedicated to make this day happen.”
According to the Statewide California Occupational Projections, the most recent report from the Labor Market Information Division, State of California Employment Development Department, medical assistant positions are expected to increase by 30.6 percent; dental assistant positions are expected to increase by 25.7 percent; and detective/criminal investigator positions are expected to increase by 17.1 percent from 2008 to 2018.
Kaplan College San Diego is accredited by the Accrediting Commission of Career Schools and Colleges (ACCSC). ACCSC is listed as a recognized accrediting agency by the U.S. Department of Education.
